This week long annual summer program is offered in partnership with Northern Kentucky University's Latino Institute of Excellence and the Department of Biology.  This camp is held for ELL high school students.  Students need to be recommended by their Science teacher or counselor to be able to apply.

Green Acres, Loveland, Ohio


Discover the fascinating world of plant and animal life lurking beneath the water in ponds and rivers.  Use various sampling devices to collect critters and examine them up close using microscopes.  Use equipment professionals use to monitor the water quality to see how healthy the water is for plant and animal life.  Make fish prints and learn how to fish! The camp consists of two exciting, activity-packed days of water exploration.

Our volunteer tutor group is intended to provide a way for our diverse community to contribute their valuable time, experience and talent to enhance the education and lives of eager local ESL students.   By assisting ESL students in subjects such as mathematics, English and science, volunteer tutors and students develop mutually rewarding bonds and experiences for each other, parents, schools and the community overall.
